Sandtown and Sleepovers

Sandtown Trip is almost full!
Here's the list so far: Jodi, Gordon, Leanna, Colin, Ben C., Jake, Marissa, Katie, Holly, Abby, Josh Cr., Russ, and Me. That leaves space for one more person that probably already talked to me and I forgot. Please contact me at work, home, or cell.

Please download the volunteer form from http://www.sandtownhabitat.org/ fill out, and bring with you on Saturday. Also please bring a bag lunch, water, gloves, and wear work clothes.

Sleepovers!

Guys Sleepover: Aug. 20 8pm -Aug. 21 11:30am at the Block House. Bring your airsoft gun and ammo. Breakfast provided. Bring a snack or soda.

Girls sleepover: Aug. 12-13 7pm-10am at Leanna's House. See church directory for address or contact Annie or Leanna.
Please bring a snack for that evening or something to contribute to breakfast the next morning (Fruit/Bagels/Cream cheese)

Amusement Park and Stuff!

Hey guys, just letting you know that we're having Wyld Life campaigners at my house on Wednesday nights. This is a bible study for middle school youth from any church who want to take it to the next level by memorizing scripture and trying to understand the Christian life. Also we will start planning for next years wyld life schedule. We're going to close it out on August 13th with a pool party at the Donnelly's. See the calendar below for more details. We won't be having Wyld Life campaigners on August 6th because WE"LL BE GOING TO CAMP! There are still spaces available so call Nick if you're interested in coming with us for a wyld week.

Also spaces are filling up fast for our one-day Sandtown Mission trip on August 2nd. This trip is only for High school students. We will be participating in rehabbing houses downtown with Habitat for Humanity. I've worked with them before and it was an awesome (and tiring) experience. Please contact me at church if you're interested.

Everyone mark your calendars for our annual Amusement Park trip August 16th. We'll be meeting here at 8am to travel down to Six Flags America. We have coupons for half off of your ticket price. So you can buy at the gate or online for $25. More details to follow

Costa Rica 2009

Are you interested in serving the Lord overseas? Liberty Church PCA youth group will be partnering with Joshua Expeditions in order to serve the people of Costa Rica next summer.
Who: Christians in High School, Parents and Volunteer Leaders please use the form following this post to apply by Sep. 1, 2008
What: Probably doing manual labor, VBS, maybe teach English,
When: Tentatively, around July 4th through 12th for 7 days.
Plus we’ll be getting together monthly to train, practice, and pray.
Where: Maybe San Jose, Puerto Viejo, the beach, the rainforest?
Why: To stretch, to serve, to grow, to see what God is doing.
How: By God’s grace and provision through prayer. We’ll need
to raise somewhere between $1500-$2000 per person. $200 due on September 28th, and 30% of trip cost due Nov. 15th.

Snow Tubing at Avalanche Express

Family Snow Tubing Trip this saturday March 1st. We'll be leaving from 11301 Liberty rd Owings Mills MD 21117 at 10am. Cost is $22 per person for snow tubing all day. Please visit the site above to download their release form, found at the bottom right hand corner of their site. Our group will be returing to church by 6pm which gives us roughly 6 hours on the slopes.
